Mouse monoclonal 16A11 is excellent for the
detection of Elav proteins HuD, Hel-N1 and HuC by western blot and
immunohistochemistry. The expression of Elav proteins is a biomarker for neuronal cells, small cell lung cancers and melanomas. 16A11 has been extensively cited in many publications that study neuronal differentiation. 16A11 is known to react with human , mouse, rat, and
zebrafish Hud, HuC and Hel-N1 proteins. Monoclonal antibody 16A11 is an IgG2b and was generated
against a peptide found in HuD, HuC and Hel-N1 but not in HuR.
